Heat Tracing

Heat Tracing

Heat tracing is a system designed to protect pipes, valves, pumps, boilers and other equipment from frost in winter to maintain temperature, using steam or glycol. Tubing is secured to the process piping or equipment and allows for heat to be transferred through physical contact.

Heat tracing is a series of closed loop tubing circuits that trace the outside of various process piping and equipment. Heat tracing combined with insulation minimizes heat loss on all piping systems that require freeze protection or temperature maintenance.

In the event of a plant shut down or extreme weather conditions our clients can rest assured that both the plant's pipes and process equipment will not be exposed to fluctuating temperatures.

By combining heat tracing and insulation services, Tetrad can provide execution efficiency to our customers.
